Are you a strategic Operations Professional with experience of writing contracts for major international projects? A forward-thinking Architecture studio is searching for an industry-savvy Head of Contracts & Operations with extensive knowledge of Contract Law to realise a dynamic business plan as they enter an exciting stage of development. Creating standout schemes with some of the world’s leading Developers, this acclaimed studio is establishing their own brand of distinctive Architecture across multiple geo-markets. The incoming Head of Contracts & Operations will share in this vision and passion, providing contractual expertise and operational insight as the practice goes from strength-to-strength.


To be considered, you must have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, drafting contracts and negotiating fees for the Architecture & Design industries. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered and may suit a strategic Contracts & Operations Professional seeking a flexible working plan.


Reporting directly to the Founding Director, the Head of Contracts & Operations is an important figure within the senior management team and will work constructively with other members to formulate key business objectives as well as analyse performance and profitability in line with these. You will lead essential communication with the wider team to positively influence and highlight their roles towards collective goals. This role has a balance of strategic input and practical tasks, requiring the Head of Contracts & Operations not only to manage, but independently implement – a ‘no job too big or too small’ approach is critical.


Central responsibilities will include:


Devising short and long-term plans for operational activities

Drafting client contracts for national and global projects, negotiating fees and terms of business with objectivity, tact and sensitivity

Setting monthly budgets

Updating monthly forecasts

Overseeing invoicing, credit control and liaising with external Auditors

Carrying out resource management by analysing the under/overservicing of projects and interrogating the viability of new business opportunities
